Guideline for Internal Supervision Development of Small School Administrators under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

This study aimed to examine the current state, the desirable state, and the priority needs of internal supervision among administrators of small schools under the Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. A survey research design was employed. The population consisted of 180 school administrators and heads of academic affairs. The sample size of 123 participants was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan table and selected through simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and the Modified Priority Needs Index.
The findings revealed that: The overall current state of internal supervision was at a moderate level, whereas the desirable state was at the highest level. The overall PNI<sub>modified</sub> was 0.497, indicating a relatively high level of development needs. The highest priority need was supervision media and tools, followed by supervision practices, evaluation and reporting, needs assessment, and supervision planning, respectively.
