Abstract

The objective of this research was to study 1) The present condition and the expected condition of the professional competencies of school administrators 2) The Prioritized need index of the professional competencies of school administrators and 3) The development approach of the professional competencies of school administrators under the Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. Phase 1, The sample consisted of 308 school administrators and teachers from schools under the Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1., academic year 2025, obtained through stratified random sampling. Phase 2, the researcher chose 5 major informants by purposive sampling. The instrument was a 5-rating scale questionnaire, present condition questionnaire had confidence value of 0.98 and discrimination from 0.64 – 0.98. and expected condition questionnaire had confidence value of 0.98 and discrimination from 0.69 – 0.89. The interview was used to collect the complete details of information. Therefore, purposive sampling was used. and the statistics used in this research were Mean, Standard Deviation, (PNImodified)
The research findings were as follows:
1. The present condition and the expected condition of the professional competencies of school administrators under the Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, both overall and in each aspect, is at a moderate level in all areas. The desired the professional competencies of school administrators under the Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, both overall and in each aspect, is at the highest level in all aspects.
2. The Prioritized need index of the professional competencies of school administrators under the Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, when considered in each aspect, are ranked from most to least important as follows: 1) Personnel potential development, 2) Vision, 3) Analysis and synthesis, and 4) Communication and motivation.
3. The development approach of the professional competencies of school administrators under the Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 revealed a total of 7 approaches, with the evaluation results showing a high level of suitability and the highest level of feasibility.
