Lesson Learned from Co-Creation The Happyness Online Classroom in STOU Style

Abstract

The spread of the Coronavirus 19 that has become severe in recent time has been affecting the lives of people all over the world. Education is another area that has been affected, resulting in a form of teaching and learning management that uses technology to help resolve the situation. Online teaching and learning is one of the interesting and popular models used in various educational institutions. The objectives of this research were 1) To translate the lessons learned on online teaching and learning in technology and communication courses for undergraduate students at the university to contribute to an online classroom of happiness according to the STOU style  2) To propose development guidelines for co-creating an online classroom of happiness in the STOU style effectively. The research methods used are qualitative research Data were collected through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with key informants. The tools were in-depth interviews and semi-structured focus group discussion. The data was collected by the researcher. For data  analysis,the obtained data were categorized, synthesized, and drawn into a conclusion based on the questions. The results show that to create an effective online classroom of happiness, there are important principles including 1) Engagement should be builtbetween learners and teachers in every step. 2) The instructional design should include content descriptions and practical exercises. 3) The system used for online learning is a system that students and teachers are familiar with. 4) Cameras should be turned on throughout the lesson. 5) Teaching and learning management is flexible. 6) Teachers must be friendly and implement good teaching techniques. And 7) Dividing students into small groups when doing group activities will make them enjoy.
