AURAL PERCEPTION TEACHING OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN BANGKOK, THAILAND
Abstract
This research aims 1) to examine the cognitive knowledge of high school music teachers on aural perception. 2) compares the averages basic knowledge and understanding of The Music Teacher in Aural Perception classified into 5 types of school group. 3) to determine teaching process in aspects of musical concept of Aural Perception and qualitative survey systematic format styles of aural perception teaching. 4) to assess music teachers’ attitude of Aural Perception teaching. The results are as follow: There are a minority number of music teachers have the basic understanding and knowledge of aural perception. There is also a some range of variation of understanding of aural perception among music teachers in the different kind of school group that revealed the significant difference. The music teachers in general have good attitude towards aural perception as a media of teaching, but at presently, from the music teachers’ opinion, music teachers’ training experiences of the concepts of aural perception in aural skills are still relatively insufficient.
