The Doctoral Music Composition: Concerto for Saxophone and Symphony Orchestra
Abstract
The Doctoral Music Composition “Concerto for Saxophone and Symphony Orchestra” is the piece to be inspired by the Thai spectacularly traditional masterpiece called “Kluen Kra Tob Fung” the overture which was composed by King Prachadhipok (King Rama VII) . The piece has been composing in the genre of concerto, competition between saxophone soloist and symphony orchestra. Under the charismatic way of composing, the composer has been applied the musical integration of various composing techniques. The diversity of roles, colors and styles of the saxophone playing and the symphony orchestra are emphasized. The rondo form, ternary form and sonata-rondo form have been modifying used. The piece has been composed as combination between classic and jazz music.
