Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the development of wind band in educational institutes in nowadays and performance trending in Thai secondary school wind band in the next decade (2021-2031), which used the EDFR technique to study data from a sample of 20 professionals of wind band, which focused on 2 issues: 4 performance skills of performers and potential in music knowledges and music conducting of music teacher in the present and trends that will occur in the next decade.

From the research results that a study of 4 performance skills was found that in nowadays, the skills of musicians are better than before but depends on the factors that the teacher, who conduct the band will be variables of musician skill levels. As for the results of the study on the trend of performance skill development in the future, it was found that the wind band has tend that develop a better direction from the factors and evolution around, which now are easily accessible and in the future. As for the potential of teachers in the present, in terms of musical knowledge and skills in music conducting today that was found that experts are most in agreement on teachers having better potential than before and tends to get better in the future but both in current forecasts and in the next decade that the development of teachers will depend on the standards of teacher production site, which is an important factor for wind band development.
