ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ที่สำคัญภายในโรงเรียน ซึ่งมีบทบาทในการสนับสนุนการเรียนการสอนและการเรียนรู้ของผู้เรียนในศตวรรษที่ 21 ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนกำลังพัฒนาไปสู่ห้องปฏิบัติการการเรียนรู้ หรือที่เรียกว่า “libratories” ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่จัดเตรียมสภาพแวดล้อมที่สนับสนุนการเรียนรู้และการคิดเชิงนวัตกรรมของผู้เรียน บทความนี้นำเสนอเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับห้องสมุดโรงเรียนในศตวรรษที่ 21 ประกอบด้วยประเด็นแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับห้องสมุดโรงเรียนสมัยใหม่ ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนตามแนวคิด Learning commons บทบาทของ Libratorians การพัฒนาห้องสมุดโรงเรียน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านสื่อในห้องสมุดโรงเรียนและบทบาทของผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านสื่อในห้องสมุดโรงเรียน
