ASEAN Digital Library: Intellectual wisdom of ASEAN

This article discusses ASEAN Digital Library Project on concepts, objectives, benefits in developing ASEAN digital library system. The pattern of the digital linkage between the ASEAN digital library system links to the digital library system of the ASEAN National Library. In addition, methods of linking digital information in the digital library system of the National Library of Thailand create the digital content to provide a digital source of information for the ASEAN region's intellectual heritage, including books, rare books, manuscripts, pictures, maps, newspapers, journals, audios, videos and other information using metadata standards such as Dublin Core standard, MARC21, HTML, XML standard, OAI-PMH protocol for linking data to serve together. Searching through the website using a Single Search, the users around the world can quickly and easily access the content on the national intellectual wisdom of ASEAN countries anywhere, any time. ASEAN Digital Library Project is beneficial to support education and research. Moreover, it help promote a better understanding of developing education, society and economy among people in the ASEAN region.
