Evaluation of the Curriculum Management of School under Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 31-38

Abstract

The research aimed to construct the instrument and the evaluation criteria for a curriculum management of the schools and to evaluate the curriculum management in the schools under Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2.  The samples used in stage one were six experts in evaluation and curricular, four educational supervisors, 95 administrators of the schools under Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. In stage two, the samples were administrators and teaches of 65 schools under Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2.  The research instruments in stage one was five rating-scale questionnaire on the needs for the curriculum management of the schools, and in stage two was an evaluation form on the curriculum management of the Schools.  Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test.

The research findings were as follows :

1. As regards the construct of the instruments and the evaluation criteria. In stage one on the needs questionnaire, there were 50 items with IOC ranging between 0.50-0.1.00.  In stage two on the needs level, there were the intermediate to the highest level of the needs for the curriculum management.  In stage three on the construct of instruments and evaluation of the curriculum management, there were 163 items with IOC ranging between 0.66-1.00.  The experts in the study found that the evaluation criteria were appropriateness.  The instrument used to collect data had the discrimination value ranging between 0.29-0.89, and its reliability value was equivalent to 0.98.
2. Considering the evaluation of the curriculum management, the findings were the following; in Kutkhaopun, 8 schools were evaluated and 7 school passed the required criteria. In Khemarat, 13 schools were evaluated and all passed the required criteria. In Trakanphuetphon, 27 schools were evaluated and 18 schools passed the required criteria. In Phosia, 10 schools were evaluated and 6 schools passed the required criteria. In Natan, 7 schools were evaluated and all passed the criteria.
