Academic Management Strategies of Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School based on the concept of the 21st Century Skills

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the framework of Academic Management of Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School based on the concept of the 21st Century Skills. The results found that Academic Management of Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School are composed of curriculum development, the teaching & learning management, educational measurement & evaluation and educational quality assurance. The 21st Century Skills are composed of learning skill, critical thinking skill, communication skill, collaboration skill, creativity skill, Information Media & Technology Skills, Productivity & Accountability skill, Leadership & Responsibility skill, Flexibility & Adaptability and Social & Cross Cultural Skills. The experts agreed with the framework of Academic Management of Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School based on the concept of the 21st Century Skills. According to the opinions of expert interviewing are summarized that the 21st Century Skills should be emphasized on the ethics in Leadership & Responsibility skill and the framework will be activated because of the cadets will be the officers in the lifetime that the 21st Century Skills would have been used. However, the framework will be used for developing the strategies in the next study.
