The Treatment of Paralysis in The Recipe of Thai Traditional Medicines

Abstract

This study is the qualitative research by an in-depth interview and exploring document research of data collection. We study the theory and principle of Traditional Thai Medicine in Stroke. This study aims to know the accurate baseline treatment in Traditional Thai Medicine of Stroke including diagnosis, pathology, prescribe, and home program. The methodology is an in-dept interview in 4 Thai people including Mr.BoonyapornYeemeeBoonthong,Mr.SippakonSopisakon,Mr.Pornchaichnanithithorn&Mr.MonthonPhetsee who are the extensively experienced physicians in Traditional Thai Medicine over 10 years. The results show that pathophysiology of stoke is an underlying blood vessel diseases, or brain injury. The treatments have to use the Thai herb medicines that are able to improve the blood flow to the brain. Additionally, Thai massage with Thai herbal balls, and herb stream room are the highlight recommendation. To Keep doing strengthening and stretching exercise daily at home is also the most effective rehabilitation. We wise this study can support other researchers for their next study in Traditional Thai medicine.
