Abstract

The purposes of this study were to : (1) study the predictive validity of the glittering teacher test, (2) investigate the relation between the results of the glittering teacher test and students’ achievement, and (3) analyze good predictors in a prediction of students’ achievement of the Graduate Diploma Program in Teacher Education, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, academic year 2017.The sample was the 8th 120 graduates holding the Graduate Diploma in Teacher Education, obtaining by stratified random sampling. The instrument was the teacher glittering test for entrance examination, including opposite words, relationship terminology, language comprehension, text synthesis, summary and figurative. The data collected were the 8th graduates’ results of the entrance examination and their grade point averages from the program and the UBRU Graduate School, respectively. The data were then analyzed using a simple correlation analysis aand multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed:

            The predictive validity in predicting the graduates’ achievement of the glittering teacher test was at the weak level. There was a linear relation at multiple correlation coefficient of .377 between the results of the glittering teacher test and students’ achievement. Only text synthesis was found a good predictor.
