Abstract

This research is a comparative legal study of Thailand and Singapore relating to the payment and international money transfer. To prepare the readiness of Thailand banking sector for the ASEAN and the expansion of e-commerce, Thailand should review Thai law and regulation that will be a problem or an obstacle to this type of business. Thus studying of Singapore law and regulation will be the great benefit to properly adapt and develop Thai law. According to this research, Thailand and Singapore have a similar law and regulation relating to the payment and international money transfer. However, Thai law is still unclear in many issues such as law and
regulation and regulator. The recommendation of this research is that there are a lot of issues that we can learn from Singapore Law such as bankruptcy issue, personal information protection issue, and organization issue
