Designing the Optimal PID Controllers by Using Bee Algorithm for AGC of Interconnected Three Area Power System with CES Unit
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article presents Automatic Generation Control (AGC) of three areas interconnected thermal-thermal- hydro system combining CES units by using Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers which is an application of Bee Algorithm (BA) in order to adjust optimal and robust. BA is nominated to simultaneously tune PID controllers to minimize frequency deviations of the power system against load disturbances and to control sufficient power transmission and distribution for demand. Simulation results indicated that the optimal PID controllers with CES units in three areas perform tremendously were better than other that no CES units and PI controllers in dynamic response and integral absolute error (IAE). Accordingly, the optimal PID controllers and CES units will result in having stability in power transmission and distribution in the power system.
