Abstract

The research entitled ‘the role of folk song towards youth in Folk Song Club at Phetchabun Wittaya School’ aims to analyze the role of folk songs towards youth in Folk Song Club at Phetchabun Wittaya School. The data were collected from 18 lyrics which were composed by Mrs.Srisuda Phetchapura and fieldwork such as depth interview and participant observation. It was found from the research that folk song have played four important roles towards youth in Folk Song Club: 1) as entertainment media 2) as education medial 3) a society control and 4) as folk media.
