Learning Activities in a Virtual Classroom Based on Constructivist Concept Using Google Site for Educational Media Design and Production Course in Thai Language Studies

Abstract

This research article aimed to evaluate the learning outcomes achieved through a virtual classroom based on constructivist concept using Google Site for an Educational Media Design and Production Course in Thai Language Studies. It also examined student satisfaction with the constructivist-oriented virtual classroom using Google Site for an Educational Media Design and Production Course in Thai Language Studies. The target group included 62 fourth-year Thai Language Education students from the Faculty of Education. The research tools comprised pre- and post-tests, teaching materials utilizing Google Site, student work products, and a satisfaction evaluation form. Quantitative data analysis involved percentages, averages, and standard deviations. The research findings revealed that: 1) The comparison of learning outcomes in the virtual classroom based on constructivist concept using Google Site for an Educational Media Design and Production Course in Thai Language Studies indicated that the average score after completing the course (  = 18.16) was significantly higher than the average score before starting the course (  = 14.84), with a statistical significance level of .05. 2) The satisfaction level regarding content understanding in the development of the virtual classroom based on constructivist concept using Google Site for an Educational Media Design and Production Course in Thai Language Studies was rated as "very high" in the overall evaluation (  = 4.87, S.D.= 0.33)
