The Study of Thai Consonant Pronunciation in Communication by South Korean Youtubers Who Speak Thai as A Foreign Language

Abstract
This research aims to study the shortcomings in the pronunciation of Thai consonants in the communication of South Korean YouTubers who speak Thai as a foreign language. There were 5 individuals across 4 YouTube channels, totaling 8 video clips. Following the analytical approach, the data used for analysis consisted of 8 video clips of Thai language communication by South Korean YouTubers speaking Thai as a foreign language. The research findings were presented in a descriptive analysis format. The study found that the pronunciation shortcomings in the communication of South Korean YouTubers speaking Thai have three characteristics: single initial consonant pronunciation shortcomings, which include mispronunciation of initial consonants; compound initial consonant pronunciation shortcomings, which involve the absence of compound initial consonant pronunciation in necessary words; and final consonant pronunciation shortcomings, which include mispronunciation of final consonants.
