THE PERFORMANCE ACCORDING TO VIRTUES OF STUDENTS IN SICHONCUNATHANVITHAYA SCHOOL, THUNGPRANG DISTRICT, SICHON DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this thesis were as follows ; 1) to study moral principle practicing of students in Sichoncunathanvithaya Thungprang Subdistrict Sichon District Nakhonsithammarat province. 2) to compare moral principle practicing of students in Sichoncunathanvithaya Thungprang Subdistrict Sichon District Nakhon Si Thammarat province that classified by sex, GPA and parents’ job. 3) to study an counsel of problems and promoting methods for moral principle practicing of students in Sichoncunathanvithaya Thungprang Subdistrict Sichon District Nakhon Si Thammarat province. Stratified random sampling was used for sampling sample according to sex and study level. The 317 numbers of sample was counted by Krejcie & Morgan table. Open and close questionnaire questions used as data collecting tool. Statistic data analysis was done by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way ANOVA on computer program. Matched-pair analysis used Least Significant Difference (LSD) method.

The results found that The study showed the overview of moral principle practicing of students in Sichoncunathanvithaya Thungprang Subdistrict Sichon District Nakhon Si Thammarat province were high level classified by sex, GPA and parents’ job. An overview considering of 10 aspects; grateful, kindness, fairness, union unity, economize, discipline, reasoning, sacrifice, honest and responsibility were high. The comparative of moral principle practicing of students in Sichoncunathanvithaya Thungprang Subdistrict Sichon District Nakhon Si Thammarat province classified by sex and parents’ job founded the difference significantly (p=0.001 and 0.01 respectively) but no different by GPA (0.05).

The problems and promoting moral principle practicing of students in Sichon- cunathanvithaya Thungprang Subdistrict Sichon District Nakhon Si Thammarat province founded that the students had many problems; lacking in attempt and pay attention to undertake commitments. They always have got bad temper when problems happened, leading to lacking in consider fully in problems. The promoting moral principle practicing, teachers should motivate students to attempt and pay attention to undertake commitments. Even if they have any problems, let them ask and make a good decision with fearless and contribute more moral principles in school.
