THE GUIDELINES FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS ADMINISTRATION FOR STUDENT QUALITY DEVELOPMENT OF PHRAPARIYATTIDHAMMA GENERAL EDUCATION WATMUEANGYALA SCHOOL

Abstract
The study aimed to 1) study the conditions of student affairs administration at Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Watmueangyala School, 2) investigate the guidelines for student affairs administration to improve the quality of learners of Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Watmueangyala School, and 3) propose the ways to manage student affairs to improve the quality of learners of Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Watmueangyala School. This qualitative research started the first step by studying the conditions of the student affairs administration via an interview with fifteen key informants. The second step was to study the guidelines by interviewing five experts. The process of proposing guidelines was conducted by group discussion of eight experts.
The findings were as follows:
- The conditions of student affairs administration were as follows: the school has planned for student affairs with meetings, but this was not yet systematically formed. Student support, democracy promotion work, and student committee work have not been systematically promoted. Addictive substance prevention was operated through observation and surveillance. The school did not have a systematic evaluation. School staff lacked an understanding of the importance of student affairs work.
- The results of the student affairs administration guidelines included more emphasis on student affairs work, setting up a systematic student support system, systematically compiling student databases, establishing a student screening system, setting up a school network, engaging students to express their opinions in organizing activities, enhancing skills to avoid drugs, setting goals and indicators for assessment and consideration of long-term outcomes.
- The results of the proposed guidelines showed the experts' agreement with them by adjusting the operational process in sequence. Objectives and goals need to be set, including assigning tasks and supervision, monitoring, analyzing, and improving.
