Guidelines for Management to Improve the Environmental Setup of Ban Pa Muead School (Sermkiatwanichratbumrung), Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

This research aimed to examine management approaches for the development of the school environment at Ban Pa Muead School (Sermkiatwanichratbumrung), Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. The objectives of the study were as follows: (1) to investigate the desirable conditions for effective management in the development of the school environment, (2) to explore best practices that have successfully contributed to environmental management within the school context, and (3) to formulate strategic guidelines for the management and enhancement of the school environment. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and structured interviews. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods, including percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings indicate that the study of the desired conditions for managing and developing the environmental setting at Ban Pameud School (Seri Kiatwanich Ratbamrung) revealed that the overall level of desirable environmental management in the school was at the highest level. The study on best practices in environmental management found that effective environmental management depends on two key factors: the characteristics of administrators, teachers, and personnel with the ability to systematically manage and perform tasks, and the application of the POLC management framework (Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling). The study on management approaches related to environmental management models in educational institutions identified key components as follows: the environmental management approach in educational institutions and the environmental management approach based on the POLC administrative process.
