THE EFFECTS OF RESEACH-BASED LEARNING TO ENHANCE LEARNING AND INNOVATION SKILLS IN THE 21st CENTURY OF THE GRADUATE CERTIFICATE TEACHING PROFESSION PROGRAM

Abstract

The research purposes were 1. to study the results of research-based learning for development of learning and innovation skills in the 21^st century and 2. to study students’ satisfaction towards the use of the research-based learning. This research is One Group Post-test only design. The population was 178 of the Graduate Certificate Teaching Profession Program student who enrolled in the GTP518 Research and Innovation Learning Development course in the second semester of 2023 academic year respectively. The sample was 30 students that acquired by cluster random sampling. The Instruments were lesson plan, learning and innovation skills in the 21^st century questionnaire, and the students’ satisfaction evaluation form. Quantitative analysis by mean and standard deviation.

The result shows that 1.the sample obtained a learning and innovation skills overall score in the high level ( = 4.24, S.D.=.46), and when individual aspects were considered, critical thinking and problem solving were in the highest mean ( = 4.41, S.D.=.49) communication and participation were at a high mean ( = 4.20, S.D.=.47) And the side with the lowest average were creativity and innovation ( = 4.15, S.D.=.57) and 2. Most students were satisfied with the research-based learning found that high satisfaction at 4.10 (=4.10, S.D.= 0.52)
