Abstract

The objective of this research was 1) to study the Academic Management Competencies of School Administrators under the Office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 2 and 2) to study the Guidelines for Enhancing Academic Management Competencies of School Administrators under the Office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 2 by research method, 1^st step, the study of Academic Management Competencies of School Administrators under the Office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 2. The sample group of this research consisted of 71 school administrators under and 112 academic teachers, total 183 people. The data was collected by questionnaire, data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The 2^nd step, the study of the Guidelines for Enhancing Academic Management Competencies of School Administrators under the Office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 2, the informant group was 5 experts acquired by purposive sampling. The data was collected by interview and were analyzed by content analysis.

The results of the research were as follows: 1. The overall of Academic Management Competencies of School Administrators under the Office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 2 was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it found that the highest mean aspect was school curriculum development, and the lowest mean aspect was the promotion of research to develop the quality of learning management. 2. Results of the study of Guidelines for Enhancing Academic Management Competencies of School Administrators under the Office of Phichit Primary Educational Service Area 2, it found that the administrators should give importance to school curriculum development, plan the development of learning management together with teachers, promote and give importance to supervision within the school, give advice and reflect on the results with teachers concerning learning management in the 21st century and analyzing classroom research information to develop the quality of education to be suitable for school.
