บทคัดย่อ
ในบทความนี้ ผู้อ่านจะได้เห็นการตีความข้อมูลต่างๆเกี่ยวกับประสบการณ์ภูมิหลังของหนึ่งในนักมานุษยวิทยาที่มีชื่อเสียงที่สุดคนหนึ่งในศตวรรษที่ยี่สิบ ผ่านเหตุการณ์สำคัญๆในวัยเด็กและบริบททางสังคมการเมืองในช่วงเวลาเดียวกัน ซึ่งน่าจะมีส่วนช่วยให้เข้าใจปัจจัยในการตัดสินใจต่อการเลือกเส้นทางเดินชีวิตและการศึกษาของเขาในช่วงแรกเริ่ม บทความนี้เป็นส่วนขยายของหนังสือเรื่อง “ข้อวิพากษ์ทฤษฎีการเมืองกระแสหลักของ คลิฟฟอร์ด เกียทซ์” ของผู้เขียนที่เผยแพร่ในปี พ.ศ. 2551
