Leadership Behavior Affecting the Quality of Work of Educational Personnel In Private Schools in Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

This survey research aimed to study the following: leadership behavior of school administrators and quality of work of educational personnel in private schools in Chiang Mai province;as well as the relationship between the two variables.The population in the research included department heads, teachers and educational personnel in private schools in Chiang Maiprovince totaling 4,941 persons from 17 sites. A total of 370 samples were obtained using stratified random sampling and appropriate size was determined using Taro Yamane Table at 5% confidence level ± 5% error.


Using a questionnaire as a tool for data collection, data were analyzed using descriptive statistics namely, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. In the testing the hypothesis, one sample t-test was applied and Pearson correlation coefficient was determined.


The results of the study showed that the leadership behavior of school administrators and the quality of work of educational personnel in private educational institutions in Chiang Mai provincewere at high levels. Overall, there was a significant relationship at .01level which was a relatively high level of positive relationship (rxy = .657).
