Lam Poetry in Melancholy Style of Heroine Mo Lam Singer

Abstract
The study of the lam poetry in melancholy style of heroine molam singer, a qualitative research aimed at : 1) investigating the elements of lam poetry in melancholy style of heroine molam singer; and 2) creating a new lam poetry and dance of melancholy style for presentation to the public audience. The data were collected from Molam Amorn Pornsaneh, Molam Chamaiporn Rungnapha, and Molam Pitsamai Petlomchoy. The results of the study showed that Molam Amorn Pornsaneh had sweet voice, clear pronunciation, good word arranging, negated vocalization, soft gliding tone, and convincing emotion. Molam Chamaiporn Rungnapha has a high voice, refined vocalization, capability of creating many levels of vocalization back and forth to the same level with beauty and at the right level; she can set the feeling of her voice in accordance with her natural voice beautifully without any adjustment. These two molam singers share the similarities in terms of rhythmic patterns; knowing how to divide the poetry into phrases, making a long vocalization to match their breathings for each phrase. Molam Pitsamai Petlomchoy used a shorter breathing and clearly-divided the poetry to match her breathing. Her low voice was powerful, clear, and beautiful. She could hold her melancholy voice perfectly in tune throughout the lam poetry.
The author used the elements obtained from this study to create the poem and a new dancing style. The show's style reflects the disappointment and mourning between young lovers. The expression was divided into 2 periods: Phase 1: the performer speaks of love and disappointment; Phase 2: Entering the poem with the accompanying style while maintaining the original Kalasin style and melody.
