The Approach Promoting for Tradition of The People Makya Subdistrict Administration Organization, in Nong Wua So District Udon Thani Province

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to study; 1) the promotion for traditions of the local people in Makya Subdistrict Administration Organization Office, Nong Wua So District Udon Thani Province; 2) the guidelines for promoting traditions of the local people in the same area as (1). The investigation was conducted in 2 phases: Phase 1: the promotion of traditions of the local people and the quantitative research method was employed. The samples were 357 local people. The research instrument was a 5-rating scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Phase 2: the guidelines for promoting traditions of the local people local. The target group were 15 experts. The research instruments was an interview guide. The data were analysed through the content-based analysis. The research instruments were a draft of the evaluation model for assessment of the guidelines for promoting traditions of Makya local people. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.


The research findings were: 1. To promote traditions of the local people, we found that the overall was at the highest level. ( = 3.55, S.D.= 0.853). Mean descending: 1) Conservation ( = 3.58,  S.D. = 0.834), 2) Social networking ( = 3.55, S.D. = 0.875) and 3) Cooperation and participation ( = 3.53, S.D.= 0.855).  2. Regarding the guidelines for promoting the traditions of Makya local people, we found 3 aspects, 16 projects consisting of (1) 6 projects for Cooperation and participation, (2)  5 projects for social networking and (3) 5 projects for conservation.
