Guidelines for Reducing Social Inequality of Impoverished Households in Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study the problem and to formulate guidelines of reducing social inequality of impoverished households in Nong Han district, Udon Thani Province. The mixed methods research was employed. The study was carried out in 2 phases: Phase 1: studying the reduction of social inequality of impoverished households. The sample group was 242 people and the research instrument was a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation. Phase 2: formulating the guidelines for reducing social inequality of impoverished households and the target group was 20 experts. The research instrument was a structured interview form. The data were analyzed and summarized for the overview summary. When compared with the mean criteria, it was greater than 3.51, indicating that the assessment criteria were passed.
The research results showed that the problem of reducing social inequality of impoverished households in Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province, it was found that the overall mean realistic condition expected to have been the moderate level condition in all 4 aspects including: 1) health service inequality; 2) land ownership inequality; 3) education inequality; and 4) income inequality. The guideline formulation for social inequality reduction of impoverished households consists of principles, objectives, development activities, indicators and assessments method which has a total of assessments as follows: guidelines to reduce inequality in all 4 areas, and 12 development activities (projects).
