The Reflection on the Women's Liberties Values Decreased in “Khang Lang Phab”

Abstract

This research paper aims to analyze reflections on the different values ​​that affect the deterioration of women's liberties through the role of the female character in the novel “Khang Lang Phab” The results showed that the novel reflects the values ​​that resulted in the deterioration of women's liberties under the 1932 constitutional liberties law. In three aspects. The first aspect consists of the values ​​of dressing and beauty. Including love and marriage. The second aspect are values ​​that detract from freedom of expression. It consists of patriarchal values, morality, and the posture of women. The last aspect are values ​​that compromise educational freedom. It includes gender and parenting values. The results showed that some of the Thai’s values ​​resulted in the reduction of women's liberties in many areas which is the liberty that women should have according to the provisions of the law.
