Cosmogenesis in the Viṣṇupurāṇa: Belief Merging to Increase Faith in The Viṣṇu

Abstract
In the Viṣṇupurāṇa, the universes are created by The Lord Viṣṇu, the supreme being.
When he creates the cosmos, Viṣṇu’s attributes are shown through various names and forms: brahman, prakṛti / puruṣa or the gigantic puruṣa, and Brahmā / Prajāpati.
The fusion of beliefs regarding Viṣṇu orginates from the Vedas, the Upaniṣads, and the Vedanta and the Samkhya philosophies, all of which belong to the indigenous people of India. The purpose of the combined theories is to strengthen the popular reverence for Viṣṇu.
