Development of Learning Activities Based on Davies’ Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain to Promote Khlui Piang Aw Flute Playing Skill of Grade 4 Students

Abstract

The aims of this research were: 1) to develop learning activities based on Davies’ Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain to promote Khlui Piang Aw flute playing skills for grade 4 students to meet the 80/80 criteria; 2) to compare the learning achievement between pre-test and post-test of grade 4 students in the learning activities; 3) to study the Khlui Piang Aw flute playing skills of grade 4 students in the learning activities; and 4) to examine satisfaction of grade 4 students on the learning activities. The sample group of this research was a classroom of 20 of grade 4 students at Nong Tor Witthaya School, Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 1in semester 2 of academic year 2022. The research instruments included: 1) 9 learning activity plans for 14 hours; 2) a 20 items of 4-option multiple-choice learning achievement test; 3 ) a Khlui Piang Aw flute performance test in 5 areas; and 4) student satisfaction questionnaire on the learning management. Data analysis statistics included mean, standard deviation, percentage and t-test for Dependent Sample.
 
The research results showed that: 1) the effectiveness of the learning activity plans based on Davies’ Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain to promote Khlui Piang Aw flute playing skills for grade 4 students was 83.27/81.75, which meets the established criteria, 2) Students in the learning activities achieved significantly higher post-test scores than pre-test scores at a statistical significant level of .05, 3) The Khlui Piang Aw playing skills of students in the learning activities was 77.00 percent, and 4) students’ satisfaction with the learning activities in overall was at a high level.
