Research "People Participation in Educational Development of Schools under Tha Thong Municipality, Muang District, Phitsanulok Province" has the following objectives: 1) To study public participation in educational development of schools in 2) to compare participation in Public participation In educational development in schools under the Tha Thong Municipality, Muang District, Phitsanulok Province Biting the Tha Thong Subdistrict Municipality, Muang District, Phitsanulok Province, classified by personal factors 3) to study the problems, obstacles, and suggestions for public participation in the educational development of schools under the Tha Thong Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province.
This research was conducted in accordance with the integrated research methodology which is quantitative research. (Quantitative research) using survey research methodology (Survey Research). The sample used in this study was the guardians of the school board in the municipality of Tha Thong Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province, selected by 370 people. Using the formula of Crazy and Morgan (Krejcie & Morgan, 1986: 345) and analyzing data by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, T-test, one-way analysis of variance and comparison of differences in pairs by Least Important Different (LSD.) And qualitative research with in-depth interviews. (In-Depth Interview) and In-Depth Interview with key informants (Main informant) 7 people using content analysis techniques.
The results of the research showed that
1.Public participation in the educational development of schools under the Tha Thong Municipality, Muang District, Phitsanulok, in general, is at a moderate level ( = 3.08) Least respectively is the aspect of participation in tracking and
Performance evaluation ( =3.10), followed by investment participation and operations ( = 3.09) participation in activity planning ( = 3.07) and participation in searching for problems and causes ( = 3.05)
- The results of the comparison of the level of public participation in educational development of schools under the Tha Thong Municipality Municipality, Muang District, Phitsanulok Province Classified by the respondents, such as gender, age, education, occupation, income, found that people with sex, age, education, occupation, income have the level of public participation in the development of education in schools in the municipality. Tha Thong, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province, overall is not different. With statistical significance at the level of 0.5, therefore rejecting the hypothesis set
- Problems and obstacles of public participation in educational development in schools under the Tha Thong Subdistrict Municipality, Muang District, Phitsanulok Province are 1) the people still lack the true knowledge to participate in finding the problem and the cause of the problem 2) People still lack the opportunity to participate in the planning of various activities with the school due to the cause Is a management within the school 3) People do not actually invest in and operate, but will be a school that manages all activities 4) The public does not give priority to the monitoring and evaluation of the administration or education within the school seriously.
