Guidelines for Assessment of Learning Outcomes in the 21st Century for Ecclesiastical Schools under General Education Division

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to present The 21^st century skills are educational skills enabling monks and novice in Ecclesiastical Schools under General Education Division to live their lives in the global situations of the 21^st century in real world and virtual world in social media effectively. Therefore, assessing 21^st century skills is essential mechanism that reflects a person’s readiness to international society. The 21^st century skills assessment can be carried out along with learning evaluation in the classroom. A new framework of the 21^st century skills assessment includes acore assessment in 5 aspects covering learning, understanding, creating, exploring and sharing. It is presented in a circle encircling the 21^st century skills, demonstrating non-linear and non-sequential framework. The framework increases challenges relevant to what students need to learn and shows competency based on academic standards.
