States, Problems, and Suggestions for Developing Student Supporting System in Digital Era of Schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Loei - Nong Bua Lumphu

Abstract

    This Article aimed This research aimed to examine the current state, challenges, and recommendations for enhancing student support systems in schools during the digital era, specifically those under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office of Loei - Nong Bua Lamphu. The study involved 173 head teachers from grades 1 to 6 and 47 student support system supervisors, totaling 220 participants. The research methods included 5-point rating scale questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was conducted using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The findings revealed that: 1) The overall state of the student support systems in these schools was at a significant level. 2) The challenges in operating the student support system were of a moderate level overall. 3) Recommendations for developing the student support system involve applying Deming's quality cycle management process across five key areas: a) Individual student understanding, which includes planning meetings, appointing supervision committees for follow-up and evaluation, and identifying strengths for further development. b) Student screening, where tools and media should be planned with confidentiality in data collection and participatory operations. c) Promotion and development of students, which should involve action plans, data gathering, and coordination with parents and various stakeholders to mobilize resources and support diverse activities. d) Prevention and resolution of student issues, requiring planning meetings, audits, supervision, follow-ups, and reviews for continuous improvement. e) Student referral processes, focusing on raising awareness, offering guidance, and establishing standard procedures for involved teachers.
