Abstract

The research aims to study the participation of working-age people in preventing and controlling dengue fever in Ban Wang Phai Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital, Mueang Nakhon Sawan District, Nakhon Sawan Province. 171 working-age people living in Ban Wang Phai Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital aged 20 years and older. Collect data using questionnaires. Statistics used in data analysis include percentage, average, standard deviation, chi-square frequency and correlation coefficients of Pearson.

  The results of the study found that

  1. The participation of working-age people in preventing and controlling dengue fever in the responsible area of Ban Wang Phai Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital, Mueang Nakhon Sawan District, Nakhon Sawan Province was very high, accounting for 60.2 percent.
  2. Factors related to the participation of working-age people in the prevention and control of dengue fever are statistically significant (p-value <0.05) These include education and motivation, while factors unrelated to the participation of working-age people in the prevention and control of dengue fever include gender, occupation, income, duration of living, and knowledge about dengue prevention and control.
  3. The findings suggest that local authorities should expedite policies to disseminate knowledge to local working-age people and encourage them to participate in the prevention and control of dengue fever in order to be a key force in their operation and to reduce the number of dengue patients.
  4. The results found that motivation towards prevention and control of dengue fever has a positive relationship with the participation of working age people in preventing dengue fever (r = 0.091) with statistical significance (p - value < 0.01). ) Continuously receiving incentives from various agencies will be a motivation and driving force that will make working people of working age interested. and give importance to participation in prevention and control of dengue fever.
