Priority Needs to Develop Instructional Leadership of School Administrators of Large-Sized schools in the affiliation with Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

The primary objective of this study is to 1) study the current and desirable states of Instructional Leadership of School Administrators of Large-Sized schools and 2) analyze the requirements for Priority Needs to Develop Instructional Leadership of School Administrators of Large-Sized schools in affiliation with Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area office 1. They determined the sample size using Krejcie and Morgan's (1970) sample size table. The sample group comprised 229 teachers from 11 large-sized schools affiliated with Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area office 1. The research tools were a questionnaire with a reliability value of .964 The statistics employed in the analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and PNImodified.
The research findings were:
- The current state of Academic Leadership among School Administrators, as a whole, was at a high level. When considered by aspect, the practices were at a high level in all areas, ranked in order of average from highest to lowest as follows: Assessing the instructional programs, Observing and improving instruction, Managing curriculum and instruction, Promoting a positive learning climate, and Defining the school's mission. Overall, the desired instructional leadership of school administrators is needed. When evaluating specific areas, two areas were recognized as having the most significant degree of practice, and they were ordered in order of average from highest to lowest: Assessing the instructional programs and Observing and improving instruction. There were also three areas with a high level of practice, ranked in order of average from highest to lowest: Managing curriculum and instruction, Promoting a positive learning climate, and Defining the school's mission.
- Analyzing the Priority Needs to Develop Instructional Leadership of School Administrators with the highest necessity is Promoting a positive learning climate, which is the most pressing necessity. This is followed by Observing and improving instruction, Managing curriculum and instruction, teaching assessment, and Defining the school's mission.
