Abstract

This study aims to present the effects of a growth mindset promotion program on employees' grit. The program was developed based on Dweck’s growth mindset theory and the approach of Keating and Heslin, which emphasizes enhancing cognitive potential, reflecting on and responding to attitudes, and fostering an organizational culture conducive to learning and development. The research sample consisted of 20 employees from the AIU Institute for Sustainable Life Development, aged between 25 and 35, who were employed in 2024. Participants were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, with 10 participants in each, using a matched-pair design. The research instruments included a growth mindset promotion program comprising six sessions, each lasting two hours, totaling 12 hours. A grit assessment scale was also utilized. Data were analyzed using t-tests.

The results revealed that:

  1. After the intervention, the experimental group demonstrated a statistically significant increase in grit at the .01 level compared to before the intervention.
  2. After the intervention, the experimental group exhibited significantly higher grit levels than the control group at the .01 level.
