Buddhism and Water Resource Management

Abstract

             This article aims to study 1) Water Resources Management Guidelines 2) Water Resources Management Concepts in Buddhism and 3) Analysis of Water Propagation Management Guidelines in Buddhism Using a documented study method and then present a descriptive presentation analysis findings

             The results of the study found that

             1. Water resources are vital to the life of all living things on earth, whether humans, animals or plants, all depend on water for life. In terms of living, water consumption is an essential component of the human body. Drinking clean and adequate water for the body's needs helps the body function properly.              2. The concept of water resource management in Buddhism can be seen by studying the ethics of Buddha and his disciples in the Buddhist era. Another way is the teachings of Buddha and his disciples that appear in both the sutras and disciplines. Water is related to Buddhism, such as Buddha uses metaphor for teaching Dharma. There is a discipline about the monk's water.  Buddha does not allow monks to consume water with animals, etc. 3. Guidelines for water resource management according to Buddhism From the study, it was found that there are              3 guidelines for water resource conservation: 1) according to Buddha's ethics 2) according to discipline 3) according to culture, beliefs, traditions, rituals such as coronation ceremony, Murathapisek ceremony, ceremonies, and sand buddha building ceremony Pipat Satya Ceremony, Loi Krathong Ceremony, etc., all help create a sense of love and preservation of water resources. and other environments.
