The Roles of Buddhist Monks in Community Development in Krachang Sub-districts Administrative Organization Kanthararalak District Sisaket Province

Abstract

The objectives were to study and compare the role of Buddhist monks in community development in the Krachaeng Sub-district Administrative Organization   in Kantharalak District Sisaket Province according to public opinion. The sample group was people living in the Krachaeng Sub-district Administrative Organization in  Kantharalak District. The sample size was determined using Yamane's formula at an error of .05. and the instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. The total confidence value was 0.97. The data were analyzed by means, standard deviation, T-value, and f-value.

The results showed that The role of Buddhist monks in community development in Krachang Sub-district Administrative Organization Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province overall and in each aspect, there is a high level of practice. The averages were sorted from highest to lowest as follows: Promotion of Arts and Culture in the field of dharma propagation Education and public welfare. As for the comparison of people's opinions towards the role of Buddhist monks in community development in the Krachaeng Sub-district Administrative Organization, Kantharalak District Sisaket Province found that people with sex, age, education level, status, monthly income and different occupations, There are opinions on the role of monks in community development by overall and in each aspect no different.  Asking about the role of Buddhist monks in community development, it was found that most of them preach, train and teach people to apply Dharma principles in their lives and provide community assistance on request.  Not only, help develop and encourage children Youth in the community are good people and have educational opportunities. But also by providing scholarships to children.
