Priority Needs for Developing Student Affairs Management to Enhance Parental Involvement at Wat Raja O Ros School

Abstract
This research aimed to study the current conditions, desirable conditions, and priority needs for developing student affairs management to enhance parental involvement at Wat Raja O Ros School. This study employed a descriptive research design. The population consisted of 3,155 participants, including 5 school administrators, 139 teachers, and 3,011 parents. The sample comprised 5 administrators and 139 teachers, who were selected through a census approach, and 341 parents selected using simple random sampling based on Krejcie and Morgan’s sampling table. The total number of informants was 485. The research instrument was a questionnaire on the current and desirable conditions of student affairs management for enhancing parental involvement. The questionnaire employed a five-point rating scale and consisted of 30 items covering three components. The Scale-Level Content Validity Index (S-CVI) was 1.00, and the overall reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.85. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and the Modified Priority Needs Index. The findings revealed that the current conditions of student affairs management for enhancing parental involvement at Wat Raja O Ros School were at a high level, while the desirable conditions were at the highest level. At the component level, parental involvement in school activities showed the highest priority need, followed by parental involvement in school communication and parental involvement in parenting, respectively. At the indicator level, provide opportunities for parents to participate in developing guidelines for promoting student discipline demonstrated the highest priority need.
