The Operational Improvement Guidelines of Student Care and Support System in School Performance Center Thamaka 5 under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

          This research article aimed to study 1) the operation of student care and support system in School Performance Center Thamaka 5 2) the operational improvement guidelines of student care and support system in School Performance Center Thamaka 5 under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. This study employed a descriptive research design. The sample was the consisted of 92 school administrators and teachers in School Performance Center Thamaka 5 under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office. They were selected by stratified random sampling, with strata defined according to their current job positions. The instruments used for data collection included a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) all items were equal to 1.00 and a Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of 0.98 and a semi-structured interview form. The statical analysis were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation, while content analysis was employed for the interview data.

The research results were found as follows; 1) The operation of student care and support system in School Performance Center Thamaka 5, both overall and in each aspect, was at a high level. 2) The operational improvement guidelines of student care and support system in School Performance Center Thamaka 5 under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 were as follows: 1) Administrators should support teachers in using a variety of methods for collecting student information, 2) Administrators and teachers should collaboratively collect and analyze student screening data systematically in a centralized database, 3) Administrators and teachers should collaboratively develop individualized student assistance plans with parental involvement and continuously monitor student progress, 4) Administrators and teachers should collaboratively organize activities based on students’ interests and individual differences in order to promote students’ potential and participation, 5) Administrators and teachers should collaboratively develop a systematic student referral process, encourage cooperation from all parties involved, and continuously monitor and improve the process.
