Supervision and Monitoring of Work Performance in the Organization

Abstract

This academic article aimed to study the supervision and monitoring of work performance in the organization. The results of the study revealed that 1) the supervision and monitoring of work performance in the organization were a crucial process that contributed to the efficiency of organizational operations by emphasizing the control, supervision, and  evaluation of personnel or department performance to ensure that assigned tasks were carried out in accordance with established goals; 2) the process of the supervision and monitoring of work performance in the organization was divided into four steps: 2.1) in terms of observation and evaluation, it systematically collected data and evaluated performance, 2.2)  in the aspect  of providing advice and suggestions, it provided development guidelines to increase work efficiency, 2.3) in terms of reflection and analysis, it analyzed the obtained data and considered improvements to work practices, and 2.4) in the aspect of monitoring and improvement, it addressed problem solving and organizational development based on the results of supervision; 3) the five components of organizational performance supervision were as follows: 3.1) planning and preparation were establishing guidelines, goals, and evaluation criteria, 3.2) supervision and monitoring were implementing the supervision and monitoring process according to the established plan, 3.3) evaluation and analysis were examining the results of operations and analyzing the data to identify development guidelines, 3.4) continuous improvement and implementation were using evaluation data to develop and improve work processes, 3.5) impact assessment was an examination of how the monitoring process affected the performance of the organization. In summary, supervision and monitoring of organizational performance were a crucial process that contributed to the effectiveness of organizational performance through planning, observation, guidance, and continuous monitoring. Systematic supervision and monitoring helped strengthen personnel potential and enhance the quality of organizational performance.
