Legal measures to promote and develop tourism in Songkhla old town.

Abstract

Songkhla Province has many tourist attractions , especially in the old town of Songkhla, which is an area with architectural buildings. traditional culture Beliefs, rituals, food, which are unique and valuable. The old town of Songkhla has been declared as an old city area by the Rattanakosin and Old City Conservation and Development Committee as a result of aesthetic value, beauty landscape, including historical and cultural value. In addition, the old city of Songkhla became a creative city of the Creative Cities Network of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO.

The results of the study find that although the old town of Songkhla has historical value and retained the identity of the old community and culture for a long time , it must be acknowledged that various developments coming in would greatly affect the old city of Songkhla. If there are no legal measures to promote and develop tourism effectively and focusing on community participation processes in the area Tourism in the old city of Songkhla may cause problems in the future.

Therefore, this research article proposes a guideline for the preparation of legal measures to promote and develop tourism in the old city of Songkhla, taking into account community participation in an integrated and mutually beneficial approach , as well as the use of legal enforcement measures. These mechanisms will help to achieve sustainable development in terms of economy, society and environment. Furthermore, the mechanisms also integrate both the public and private sectors the public sector until being used as a strategic plan to promote and develop sustainable tourism in Songkhla Province in the future.
