DEVELOPMENT OF A CAUSAL RELATIONSHIP MODEL IN ENHANCING ACTIVE AGING

Abstract
The aim of this research was to develop and examine the conceptual framework in a causal relationship model in enhancing active aging. It is a quantitative research. Sampling groups of 400 in this quantitative research were the elderly selected through purposive sampling. Instruments used were descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. Consistency check of the model and empirical data were done by LISREL program. The results of the research showed that active aging was directly influenced by sublime states of mind and bases of sympathy. The influence size was equal to .27 and .67 with statistical significance at the level of .01 respectively. It was indirectly influenced by sublime states of mind through bases of sympathy with the influence size of .33 with statistical significance at the level of .01. It was also indirectly influenced by supporting factors through bases of sympathy with the influence size of .32 with statistical significance at the level of .01.
