การศึกษาเปรียบเทียบปัญหาการออกเสียงพยัญชนะภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาไทย: ความเหมือนและความแตกต่าง

Abstract

This article aimed to compare the similarities and differences of consonant sounds between English and Thai languages and to analyze the cause of English pronunciation problems of Thais. Content analysis was used through documents including linguistic books, research articles and the sources from websites. It was analyzed according to the principle of phonetics English pronunciation and compared the similarities and differences of both languages. The analysis results were found that the majority of Thais encountered the problem of English pronunciation, particularly, sounds caused from fricatives, plosives, affricates and approximants respectively. According that some English sounds never existed in Thai phonetic system, it caused the majority of Thais with misunderstanding and error imitation in pronunciation when they heard those sounds similar to Thai sounds.
