GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPING THE SERVANT LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE OFFICE OF BURIRAM PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA 1

Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the current and desirable conditions of the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1; 2) to study the guidelines for the servant leadership development of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1; and 3 ) to assess the guidelines to develop the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The study was divided into 3 phases as follows: the 1st phase studied the current and desirable conditions of the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1; the 2nd phase studied the guidelines to develop the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1; and the 3rd phase was to conduct an assessment of the guidelines to develop the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample group consisted of schools received from a multi-stage sampling where schools separated by district were used as a random unit. The key informants were 264 school administrators and teachers who are the head of general administration. Additionally, there were also 8 experts participated in a brainstorming process. Research tools were a component suitability assessment form, a questionnaire, and a suitability, possibility, and profitability assessment form. Statistics employed for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and priority needs index. The study found that: According to Phase 1, the study revealed that: (1) The current and desirable conditions of the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 consists of 5 components including 1) empowerment; 2) service; 3) listening; 4) humility; and 5) vision. (2) The overall current servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 is at a high level. (3) The overall desirable servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 is at the highest level.
Owing to phase 2, the study reported that the priority needs index (PNI) of the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 can be arranged in descending order as follows: (1) service; (2) listening; (3) vision; (4) empowerment; and (5) humility. Due to phase 3, the results of the assessment of the guidelines to develop the servant leadership of school administrators under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 show that: 1) the service aspect consists of 2 sub-approaches; 2) the listening aspect comprises of 2 sub-aspects; 3) the vision aspect includes 3 sub-approaches; 4) the empowerment aspect consists of 2 sub-approaches; and 5) the humility aspect includes 2 sub-approaches.
