ROLES OF SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZATION IN PROMOTING AND DEVELOPING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN THUNG THOENG SUB-DISTRICT, DET UDOM DISTRICT, UBON RATCHATHANI PROVINCE

Abstract

            The objectives of this research titled the role of sub-district administration organization in promoting and developing the quality of life of the people with disabilities in Thung Thoeng Sub-district, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province included: to study the conditions of the promotion and development of the quality of life of the people with disabilities in Thung Thoeng Sub-district, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province; and to study the roles of sub-district administration organizations in promoting and developing the quality of life of the people with disabilities in Thung Thoeng Sub-district, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The sample consisted of 148 people through purposive sampling method. Questionnaires were used as a research tool. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The results of the research were as the followings. The overall conditions of the promotion and development of the quality of life of the people with disabilities in Thung Thoeng Sub-district, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province were at a moderate level. In health aspect, the building and facilities for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for people with disabilities were cleaned. In education aspect, the equipment of the education provision agency was well prepared for facilitating the people with disabilities.  In occupation aspect, the people with disabilities were well attended by the officials related to occupation promotion. In social service aspect, the building and its environment were clean and be ready to provide social service. The overall role of Sub-district Administration Organization in promoting and developing the quality of life of the people with disabilities in Thung Thoeng Sub-district, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province was at a medium level. In health aspect, health assurance should be provided. In education aspect, activities of the organizational networks should be supported in budget, equipment and resource persons to provide knowledge among the people with disabilities. In social aspect, members of the families of the people with disabilities should be trained in taking care of the people with disabilities.  In occupation aspect, there should be a survey of the needs in the occupation development for all groups of the people with disabilities.
