SUPERIORITY COMPLEX MAKING ONES COMMIT CRIME: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PSYCHO CRIMINOLOGICAL THEORIES WITH BUDDHIST PSYCHOANALYTIC CONCEPT OF POM KHUEANG

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to understand and compare the Psycho Criminological Theories with the Buddhist Psychoanalytic Concept of Pom Khueang; the cause of the crime. Guidance on crime prevention is due to the fact that people have a Superiority Complex. This study is a qualitative research; documentary study and In-depth interview. The main informants were the 10 experts. The results of the research were as followsน.1) Knowledge type Psychological criminology of Sigmund Freud and Alfred Adler is a "theory". For Buddhist psycho analysis which was compiled by Buddhadasa Bhikkhu, Phra Payom Kanlayano and Phra Paisan Wisalo classified as "concept". 2) the cause of crime including theories of psychological criminology and Buddhist psychoanalysis describe the cause of the crime as well as the crime caused by the superiority of others. It is a motivation for people to engage in crime. 3) Prevention guidelines and solving crime problems including theories of psychological criminology and Buddhist psychoanalysis, the proposed approach is to instill in people not to use violence, hurt or take advantage of others. Enforcement and punishment of offenders should be equitable.
