People’s of Election Behavior of Members of the Provincial Administrative Organization in Naduang District, Loei Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of the behaviors in the election of the provincial administrative organization members of the people in Na Duang District, Loei Province; 2) to compare the level of the behaviors in the election of the provincial administrative organization members of the people in Na Duang District, Loei Province; 3) to study recommendation for promoting the behaviors in the election of the provincial administrative organization members of the people in Na Duang District, Loei Province. The sample group used in the study consisted of 377 participants and 12 key informants. The data collection tools were questionnaires and interview forms. Therefore, the data was analyzed using social science software packages and contextual content analysis.
The result was as follows:
1. The overall level of the behaviors in the election of the provincial administrative organization members of the people in Na Duang District, Loei Province was at a high level. The aspect with the highest mean was the use of voting rights, followed by voting, election according to the Saṅgahavatthu Dhammas. The aspect that has a lower mean than the other is election decisions.
2. The comparison of the behaviors in the election of the provincial administrative organization members of the people in Na Duang District, Loei Province found that people of different sexes had indifferent behaviors of the election. People of different ages, education, occupations, and incomes had different behaviors in the election with a
statistical significance level of 0.05.
3. The recommendation for promoting the behaviors in the election of the provincial administrative organization members was that people should exercise their right to vote freely and choose good people who can represent them before deciding to vote. The applicants' qualifications should be carefully considered in ideas, policies, community, society development, equal sacrifice for the common good and direct communication, etc.
