The Development of Printed Media Design Ability and Learning Achievement on Professional Media Design Principles Using Demonstrational Teaching Method Combined with Online Lessons of Higher Vocational Certificate Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 1) to develop the ability to design printed media of the 1st year students of Higher Vocational Certificate with a demonstration teaching method together with online lessons, to have a passing score of more than 70 % and more than 70% of total students passed the criteria, 2) to develop learning achievement on printed media design to have a passing score of more than 70 % and more than 70% of total students passed the criteria. The sample group consisted of 15 1st year higher vocational certificate students in Hotel Management program in the 2nd semester of academic year 2021, Khon Kaen Tourism and Hotel Vocational College under the Office of Khon Kaen Vocational Education, using purposive sampling method. This research wasquasi-experimental research design. A single group experiment was conducted. There was a One Group Post Test Design. The research tools were divided into 2 groups: 1. The experimental tools consisted of 1) online lessons, 2) learning management plan using the demonstrational teaching method together with 6 online lessons plans, with the total number of 12 hours. 2. Tools used for data collection consisted of, 1) 5 items of subjective, 2) learning achievement test with the total number of 4 choices, 30 items. The statistics used in the data analysis comprised arithmetic mean, standard deviation and percentage.
The research results were found that:
1. An average score of printed media ability of higher vocational certificate students after learning with demonstrational teaching method together with online
lessonswas rated at 78.00%, and 14 students passed the criteria of 70% or 93.33% of total students.
2. An average score of learning achievement on Professional Media Design Principles of higher vocational certificate students after learning with demonstrational teaching method together with online lessons was rated at 76.00%, and 12 students passed criteria of 70%, or 80.00% of total students.
