The role of Local Government Organization in Promoting Tourism in Phrapradaeng District Samut Prakan Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 1) to study 2) compare the role of local government organizations in tourism promotion and 3) to study the way to promote the role of local government organizations in tourism promotion in PhraPradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province. There was mixed method research. The samples used in research were 196 personnel in local government organizations in PhraPradaeng District Samut Prakan Province and to in-depth interview with 6 key informants by using of questionnaire and interview form. The statistics used were Frequency distribution, Percentage, Mean
(), Standard Deviation (S.D.), and hypothesis testing as t-test and F-test or One way ANOVA and qualitative data analysis was taken by descriptions.
The research results were found that:
1. The role of local government organizations in tourism promotion in PhraPradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province is at a high level.When considering each aspect, it was found that every aspect is at a high level. Sorted in order of average from highest to lowest as aspect of natural resources and the environment, aspect of social culture and security, aspect of physical environment and aspect of the promotion of facilities, respectively
2. Personnel with gender, age, education level and different work experiences are opinions on the role of local governments in promoting tourism PhraPradaeng District Samut Prakan Province as a whole were significantly different at the 0.05 level.
3. There are the way to promote the role of local government organizations in tourism promotion PhraPradaeng District Samut Prakan Province as communities has made tourist promotion more valued about the environment, has arranged for the community to attend a meeting to discuss environmental problems, has preserved a sustainable tourist destination and has arranged of tourist attractions that are safe and sufficient for tourists.
